From the old toon, it's
![]() The Dinobots VS ![]() Omega Supreme! As you may recall, the Dinobots basically had impenetrable armor. I can't count the amount of times Megatron blasted Grimlock at point blank range with his fusion canon, and didn't even phase him. When Devastator was tearing up Autobot city in Transformers: The Movie, who'd Optimus Prime send to take him out? The Dinobots, that's who! Yet, Omega Supreme was so awesome, he had The Constructicons running scared for an entire episode. And when they brought out Devastator, they... Well, see for yourself: And, when Superion was on the ass end of an ass whipping from Menasor, who ran in for the save? Omega, with big stick in hand! Caught Menasors fist, and knocked him on his rear with a girder or something. Admittedly, The Dinobots do have a better record of being unstoppable though.. I mean, Omega's been put down by Starscream firing Megatron in his transformed state in that weird episode with the golden lake that makes you immune to laser damage.. Hell, even Devastator doesn't have as good a record as The Dinobots, because Optimus Prime took him down twice, with the first time hitting him square in the chest with his rifle and forcing them to disengage, and the second time Prime's disembodied head remote controlled his arm to open up on Devastator playing King Kong and knocked him off a building (Yes, it was as lame as it sounds.) So, I dunno. What happens?

Booked properly, it's Omega Supreme in a squash. If you've ever read the comics, the guy took apart half the Decepticon army by himself in moments. The Dinobots are freakishly strong, but there's no way they should match up to Omega Supreme.

That's doubly impressive if you know Megatron by himself took down Predaking. But there's a reason I specified the Toon versions of the characters.

Omega Supreme was booked like a pansy in the third season of TF, which was beyond horrible. If you go by the toons only, he'd be wiped out by a few rounds of rifle fire, which is beyond incredulous.
Omega Supreme comes from the line of Cybertronian Sentinel guardians that EVERYONE was scared shitless of back on Cybertron, and should really be put on a level all on his own above the combiners, but maybe second only to Fortress Maximus. On par with Metroplex, but Omega's got that killer instinct that makes him that much deadlier than Metroplex.

Oh yeah, I agree completely. Superion got loads more love then Omega in season 3. Come to think of it, Superion even beat a Sentinel guardian in that season, although I think he was booked like the underdog. But I'm inclined to give it to Omega here, just on the basis that he made Devastator his bitch.

Yeah, Superion got a lot of love cause he was the first Autobot combiner, although I think Defensor is cooler. Computron is fantastic from a pure tech geek point of view. I guess my perfect Autobot combiner would have Defensor's looks, Superion's flight capabilities, and Computron's analytical abilities.
I thought it was great the first episode Computron was in, and he's standing there getting just absolutely POUNDED (by Menasor, I think it was). He's taking a shit-kicking, and the whole time he's analyzing the perfect counter-response. Then BLAM!!! One shot and Menasor is toast. Perfect response. Predaking OWNS all the combiners, though, imo.

Yet they had Sky Lynx beat him all the time. ![]() It's not that I hate Sky Lynx or anything, but he's just a glorified dino space shuttle. And he's kind of prissy, too. Why did HE have to be Predakings Kryptonite?

Only thing I thought Sky Lynx had going for him was he was freaking HUGE. I liked his snobby attitude, but he was booked as basically the Second Coming and did all the work Omega Supreme *should* have been doing.
But yeah, he made Predaking look like his bitch when PK was all but untouchable by everyone else. PK put the fear of Primus into people, but Sky Lynx just owned him hard core.

I'll give you that, Sky Lynx makes Omega look small. Remember when he caught Superion after he attacked a Quintesson ship? Seeing him in Sky Lynx's claws made me realize how mammoth he really is.
Speaking of Skylynx's snobby attitude, his wiki is hillarious: http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Sky_Lynx_%28G1%29 Quote:

I'm pretty sure it was The Terrorcons merged into Abominous they were fighting. A'bommy was basically Computrons official counter character. The way Computron beat him was great.. I think he just hit the exact spot to disengage them, kind of like hitting a pressure point.

Damn, Fortress Maximus is supposed to be WAY bigger then Metroplex, but he sure doesn't look like it in the soon. O_o
Like, I guess Metroplex is supposed to be a mobile fortress or core of a city, but Fort Max is supposed to be a full fledged city bot..

Yeah, in the comics, Fortress Maximus absolutely dwarfed everyone, but it looks like they dumbed him, Metroplex and Trypticon way down for the show.

Although, Simon Furman did these short stories on 2005 in the UK, that had Rodimus Prime lose the Matrix and awaken Metroplex in a last ditch effort to drive off a Quintesson invasion fleet. And Metroplex in that story was HUGE. I mean, he was just slapping away invasion ships like flies. I think those stories are only "alternative cannon", though. Kind of like the "Earthforce" stories he did during the same period, with Grimlock and a small group of autobots hunting Decepticons.

Yeah. In the show, they call Metroplex and Trypticon "cities". Now, they don't get into the specific "size" of city, but given that the show took place in major areas, one would assume that his "city" size would be comparable. Even a city of a couple hundred thousand people is pretty big and involves a lot of mass.
Now try taking a city, and making it into a robot. It'd be freaking HUGE. And Fortress Maximus was BIGGER. In a lot of shots, Trypticon/Metroplex are seen stomping buildings and are only about twice the size of skyscrapers in the areas they fight in. Not exactly scale. And Fortress Maximus was BIGGER.

No question, in the Toon, Fortress Maximus and Scoponok are supposed to be much bigger. But, here's the first and ONLY storyline with comic book Metroplex ![]() Basically, it looks like Simon Furman kept to toon scales for his rendition of Metroplex (Unlike Trypticon, who in a much earlier story got his ass beat by The Dinobots), while Fortress Maximus was scaled down to about a few hairs bigger then Powermaster Optimus Prime. Makes sense, I guess, since toon Fortress Maximus was so big, he couldn't really be used as a regular character. For the record though, comic book Fortress Maximus got to beat the hell out of Galvatron II.
